The energetics of August from an Astrological perspective are interesting indeed! We begin the month strongly with the Sun in bold, regal, leadership-oriented Leo. Leo is ruled by the Sun, and rules the Heart.
The Sun is at home here.
I’ve personally been feeling a massive heart energy building inside me to get behind my visions fully + completely. The fire’s been lit. Stirred from the feeling of not utilizing or rising to the throne of my fullest potential.
Yes, I’ve come so far. And yes, there is far to go. I’ve been feeling as though I am not using my time here consciously enough, and witnessing myself slip into patterns of doubt, overwhelm and procrastination.
I’m yearning for deeper mastery over how I yield my energy, what I consume. The sleeping lion awakens. The Divine Masculine Energy is strengthened within us all.
Let’s have a little exploration, shall we…
To bring oneself closer to reaching a goal, requires:
Committing to the goal with HEART (a strong connection to our WHY)
And
Taking the methodical steps that are required to actualize said goal.
The planetary alignments are supporting us with both of these this month.
With multiple planets in Leo and Virgo, we will be able to narrow our focus on the details (Virgo) that will support us to actualize our BIG visions(Leo).
Creating the step by step plan, so it doesn’t FEEL too overwhelming.
Generating momentum with focused intent, with the recognition that in order to get where we are going, there are practical things to be done.
Venus moves into discriminating Virgo on August 4th, helping to sort out what values are guiding us currently.
Mercury will begin it’s Retrograde phase in the sign in Virgo.
On the 14th of the month, it will shift back into Leo.
It will be time to dissect & decipher, what thoughts related to PERFECTIONISM are preventing us from experiencing the riches of life.
Mercury Retrograde in Leo asks us to soften our pride and reflect on our confidence or lack there-of.
May we be emboldened by the period of self-analysis that is retrograde season! I love using A Course In Miracles prompt, “Holy Spirit, uplift my thoughts”— when I’m having a particularly challenging time with intrusive or negative self-talk.
The conjunction of Mars and Jupiter in Gemini mid-month may bring some unexpected surprises, bursts of energy and overall added enthusiasm into your life. It can also bring overstimulation to an unregulated nervous system.
The Sun will move into Earthy & Analytical Virgo on August 22nd and will soften some of these fiery affects. Mercury will move direct on the 28th
and Venus into romantic, harmonious Libra on the 29th.
My advice this month would be to commit to a daily routine (no matter how small) that will help you ground your energy as passions are flaring, the heart is calling us forward into new and unchartered territory which is exciting, but can also stir discomfort.
